Scholarship Reporting & Recognition
Academic Honors
Clearfield High School uses Latin Academic Honors at graduation. These academic honors are determined using the current year WSU Freshman Student Scholarship Index Chart which combines ACT score and GPA.
- Summa Cum Laude: Presidential Scholarship Level
- Magna Cum Laude: Trustees Scholarship Level
- Cum Laude: Deans Scholarship Level OR 3.9 or above cumulative GPA
Students receiving these honors will be noted in the graduation program and have the honor printed on their diploma. One of the commencement speakers will be selected from the graduates earning Summa Cum Laude designation. Each student earning Latin Academic Honors designation will receive an academic honor medallion with a ribbon to which pins can be attached for pathway completions, cultural, club, and/or other approved organizational affiliations.
CTE Career Pathways
CTE Career Pathways show students a DIRECT connection between high school courses and opportunities in various career and technical careers. Earn recognition at graduation by concentrating in or completing a pathway of your choice.
For more information about CTE Career Pathways or to apply, visit the CTE Career Pathways website or talk to our CTE Coordinator and/or secretary.
Falcon Pathways
In addition to CTE Career Pathways, students may earn graduation recognition in the following Falcon Pathways (click on the Art or Letters & Science links below for available courses and requirements):
- Art
- Band
- Choir
- Drama & Theatre
- Orchestra
- Technical Theatre
- Visual Art
- Letters & Science
- Advanced Academic Studies

Students choose a Falcon Pathway based on individual interests which provides them with a "roadmap" of courses to choose from during their high school years. Falcon Pathways are not restrictive and students can choose one or multiple pathways to work towards.
Application for Falcon Pathways available March 21st. DUE April 15th.
