Our student council members attended a leadership conference today. They were able to hear from 4 amazing speakers who taught them how to be great leaders. Highlights were, "Use your Popularity for Good", "Less is More", "Everyone has a Prize Inside", "Change the Social Norm to Include More Love", It's Better to be Respected than Popular" "Smile, Compliment & Invite". They are ready and committed to help make King Elementary a Great School! #ROAR #LearningLions #StudentCouncil

A big project that is in the works this year is our students are creating a giant mural of our 4 Houses 1 Family logo. Each month Mr. Hansen goes around to every class and students get to help add Lego pieces to the board from house points they've earned focused on the monthly challenge theme. Every 10 points earned toward the theme = 1 Lego pieces they get to add. This is a huge project he has taken on and we appreciate all the time Mr. Hansen has devoted to this (and continues to do so) and how he interacts with the students. #4Houses1Family #KingLions

We received notice that King Elementary is designated as a model school for the 24-25 school year as a positive behavior intervention support school. This is the highest designation a school can receive! We are also 1 of only 2 schools in the district with a Tier 2 designation- which means we provide students with extra added supports. We are so proud of our staff for the support they give our King Lions to help them be successful and are pleased they’re being recognized for all their efforts. #KingLions
