
AP World and World History: Annual Jousting tournament for their Medieval Europe Unit. They learn about the culture of Medieval Europe and Medieval Japan. They will complete a comparative analysis on Feudal Japan and Feudal Europe. Huzzah! Mr. & Mrs. Wilkes create so many fun, and engaging learning experiences!







Today, Wednesday, October 15 is the last day of first term. Thursday-Friday, October 16 & 17, is Fall Break and school will not be in session. Monday, October 20, we will follow an early out schedule to allow for teacher prep time. Tuesday, October 21st, first term report cards will be available on myDSD.

Our Unified Sports soccer teams played in a tournament yesterday and TWO of our teams made it to STATE!!! Let's go, CHS!!!




September's Teacher of the Month was Mr. Izatt. He teaches Health and Falcon Pride and has taught at CHS for 2 years. Mr. Izatt received a Minky Blanket, sign outside his classroom door, and designated parking stall at the front of the school for the month. Thanks to our PTSA for partnering with us to acknowledge outstanding CHS teachers. Go Falcons!


Congratulations to our Debate Team for representing Clearfield High remarkably well in their debate tournament on Saturday! They placed 2nd out of 18 schools! Way to go Falcons!

Mrs. Oliverson is at it again! Each year, her math class is transformed into Hogwarts to help students practice their trigonometry skills through Potions Class, History of Wizardry, and Defense Against the Dark Arts! Students are sorted into houses via the Sorting Hat and compete all period to earn house points with the goal of winning the House Cup. Mrs. O creates a "themed room" every month to help make school fun and engaging. It's no surprise she is one of our students' favorite teachers!









Congratulation to our very talented marching band for taking 2nd place at the Oquirrh Mountain Invitational! These young, talented musicians scored higher than any previous Clearfield High marching band and higher than the reigning 2nd place state finishers from last year! Way to go Falcons!


This week is Custodian Appreciation Week and we are so happy to celebrate the most AMAZING custodial staff around! They work tirelessly, and often long hours, taking care of the facilities and us! All of them take pride in what they do and it shows! When you see them around this week, be sure to say "Thank You" and show extra kindness by being more mindful to clean up after yourself. Our Mechanical Design and Engineering class had the opportunity to learn about the SUU Pilot programs, as well as, the Aircraft Technician and Management programs, and explore their helicopter.


In 2018 our Falcons Are Fabulous (FAF) fundraiser brought in over $62,000 to start our very own Food Pantry. This Food Pantry provides food and other essential items to our community. The Food Pantry Director, Nicole Tidwell, oversees the operations and coordinates volunteers that spend countless hours serving those in need. This Wednesday, September 24th, students will have the opportunity to have their yearbook pictures retaken. Please see assigned times and plan accordingly. If a student has home release or classes off campus during their assigned time, they can have their photo taken during a period they are at the school.
